Starting as a developer, I quickly realized that writing code was only one piece of the puzzle. The real magic happened in how that code was delivered, secured, and scaled. This realization led me down the path of DevOps long before it was a buzzword, and eventually to DevSecOps, where I found my true calling: bridging the gap between innovation and security.

Today, as we stand on the brink of the AI revolution, I see history rhyming. The same rush to deploy without guardrails that plagued the early cloud era is happening now with AI. My expertise has evolved to meet this challenge, focusing on AI Safety and Governance. I understand how fragility in AI systems can lead to catastrophic risks, and I am driven by the urgent need to build technology that is safe by design.

I don't just see technology as a tool for efficiency; I see it as a responsibility. My work is grounded in the belief that we must be intentional architects of our future. I've seen firsthand how speed without safety creates fragility, and how security without empathy can slow innovation.

A Mindset Shift

Transitioning from a developer to a DevSecOps consultant was not merely about adopting new tools; it was a fundamental shift in mindset. It required moving from a siloed view of "my code" to a holistic view of "our system."

Empathy became my most important tool. Understanding the friction points for developers, the anxiety of operations teams, and the compliance burdens of security officers allowed me to design solutions that people actually want to use. I learned that the best security is invisible, that automation is about freeing humans to do creative work, and that true reliability comes from embracing failure as a learning opportunity.

Now, I apply this mindset to AI adoption. I help teams understand where AI adds real value and where thoughtful automation can reduce not just operational risk, but also human stress and friction.
